Veterinary. Grooming. Training.
Saying farewell to a beloved pet is never a simple task. At Boulevard Veterinary Care, we truly understand the heartache of losing a furry friend. Each member of our team has faced similar experiences with our own cherished companions. This understanding makes it crucial for us to be there for you during this challenging time.
Our end-of-life care is tailored to offer guidance and support during your pet’s final days, whether you are caring for a terminally ill animal or grappling with the emotional decisions that come with being a pet parent. We aim to assist you in making the best choices for your family, ensuring that the last moments with your beloved pet are as peaceful as possible for you both. You can trust that you will never face this alone.
Choosing Euthanasia
While we often come to terms with the reality of loss, being the one to initiate that loss – making decisions about when, where, and how it happens – can be overwhelming. Since euthanasia is not a practice in human medicine, we lack a reference point or personal experience for this difficult choice.
Important Questions to Consider
Key Questions to Discuss with Your Veterinarian
At Boulevard Veterinary Care, we provide three options for your pet’s remains:
Additionally, along with your private cremation choice, you will receive a Clay Paw Impression, a hair lock, an ink nose print; a candle, a memory stone, the rainbow bridge poem, a certificate of cremation, a memorial candle and wildflower seeds allowing you to have a lasting keepsake of your beloved companion. All clients receive a tree planted in a Pennsylvania State Forest through a Living Tribute and will receive a memorial card about the planting.
Our staff members are pet owners too, so we fully understand the bond you share with your animal friend and the pain of losing a treasured pet. You can be assured that we will do everything in our power to support you during this difficult time. We are also available to discuss the euthanasia process with you before your visit, ensuring you know what to expect.
If possible, we recommend calling ahead to either schedule an appointment for euthanasia or to inform us of your arrival, so we can be prepared for you. If you have any questions about euthanasia, please reach out to us at 570-580-4909. Remember, you are not alone; help is just a phone call away.
