Neutering your male cat helps prevent unwanted litters and reduces the number of homeless animals in our community. It can also improve your cat’s behavior by decreasing roaming, fighting, and urine spraying. These behaviors are often driven by hormones and can lead to injuries or your cat getting lost. Neutered cats are typically calmer, more focused on home life, and less likely to engage in territorial disputes. The procedure also lowers the risk of certain health issues, helping your cat live a safer, healthier, and more comfortable life.

Our volunteer program offers a chance to experience the veterinary field while helping support the daily operations of an animal hospital. Volunteers may observe veterinarians and veterinary technicians to learn about their roles and see how a clinic runs, from routine wellness visits to surgical procedures and patient care.

Volunteers may also assist with a wide variety of important tasks that help keep the hospital running smoothly. These may include cleaning, laundry, organizing supplies, answering phones, helping prepare animals for procedures, and supporting the comfort and care of our patients.

This experience helps expand your understanding of animal health, preventative care, and the many roles involved in veterinary medicine, while providing valuable hands-on exposure for anyone interested in working with animals. 🐾
